Anti-wrinkle treatment uses a prescription medicine, injected in very small amounts, to relax the specific muscles that cause expression lines. When those muscles relax, the skin over them smooths out, so lines look softer and new creases are less likely to set in.
Because it's a prescription-only medicine, it can only be given after a face-to-face consultation with a qualified prescriber, and Jane will talk you through exactly what's involved before anything is booked.
The most common areas are the forehead, the frown lines between the eyebrows (glabella), crows feet around the eyes and bunny lines on the nose. Many clients combine two or three areas in one appointment for a balanced result. Lip flips and underarm treatment for excessive sweating are also available.
Your first visit starts with a free consultation. Jane will ask about your medical history and any medication, look at how your face moves, and talk through what you'd like to achieve. She'll be honest about what's realistic and whether treatment is right for you. You'll never be pressured into booking.

The treatment itself is quick. Jane uses a very fine needle to place a few small injections in each area. Most people describe it as a brief scratch. You can usually go straight back to your day afterwards, and any small marks generally settle within an hour or so.
For the rest of the day, avoid rubbing or massaging the treated areas, lying flat, strenuous exercise, saunas and alcohol. You'll get clear aftercare advice to take home, and you can contact Jane if you have any questions or concerns.
Results start to appear after a few days and are usually fully visible at around two weeks. They typically last around three to four months, although this varies from person to person. Results can't be guaranteed and every face is different, which is why the consultation matters.
Most people find it very tolerable. The needle is extremely fine and the injections take just seconds each. Jane will make sure you're comfortable throughout.
The aim is a natural, refreshed look where you can still express yourself. Jane will talk through the result you want at your consultation and treat accordingly.
Typically around three to four months, but it varies between people. Many clients book regular treatments to keep their results.
Usually very little. You may have small raised marks or slight redness for a short while, and occasionally a small bruise. Most people go straight back to their normal day.
It isn't available to anyone under 18, and isn't suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or for people with certain neuromuscular conditions or medications. Your consultation will check this.
